Notice of Public Hearing – Michigan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Round 2 Funding for the Three Rivers Home Revival Project:
The City of Three Rivers will conduct a public hearing on August 19, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall 333 West Michigan Ave., Three Rivers, MI (49093) for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for the 2025 Round 2 CDBG grant.
The City of Three Rivers proposes using 2025 Round 2 CDBG grant funds in the amount of $270,000 for repair/replacement activities such as:
• Roof & Gutters
• Windows
• House Exterior Doors
• House Insulation
• House Siding
• Electrical Upgrades/Replacement
• HVAC
• Lead, Mold, Asbestos Abatement
• Security Lighting
• Landscaping including tree trimming
• ADA Ramps & Upgrades
• Plumbing
The purpose of applying is to provide citizens access to no-interest, low interest, and “patient capital” (long term) lending products and grants to address the cost of home repairs, as well as to ensure resident health and safety concerns are addressed. The maximum request will be $30,000 which will be a zero interest, zero payment loan forgivable in 5 years to the date the grant closes. All activities, upon completion, will benefit low to moderate income households. When applicants meet the income requirements, there will be an initial inspection per address to guide which rehabilitation activities will be undertaken.

We have received $1,759,328.76 in prior CDBG funds for 40 North Main Street and the Downtown Amphitheater and Public Gathering Space – which is being built as we speak.
Citizen views and comments on the proposed application are welcome.
