NOTICE OF PROJECT PLANNING PUBLIC MEETING:
The City of Three Rivers will hold a public meeting on the proposed Water System Improvements project for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in City Hall at the address above.
The purpose of the proposed project is improvements to the City’s water system.
Project construction will involve replacement of approximately 336 lead service lines and replacing 3.7 miles of aging 4-inch and 6-inch diameter watermain with 8-inch diameter watermain.
Impacts of the proposed project include minor traffic operation, increased local noise, and dusts levels typical of a construction project. There are no anticipated long-term impacts from this project.
The estimated cost to users for the proposed project will be dependent on the terms of the financing proposed by EGLE for this project. The estimated project costs are totaled to be approximately $14.6 million.
