Energy Efficiency Program – 

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) will administer the Michigan Housing Opportunities Promoting Energy-Efficiency Program (MI-HOPE) through its network of local nonprofit agencies and government agencies starting November 1, 2022.

The City of Three Rivers has been selected to receive a grant totaling, $150,000 from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) to assist income qualified homeowners with energy efficient improvement to their home. Additionally, the City of Three Rivers has leveraged an additional $50,000 from our General Fund to further this effort. A total of $200,000 of funding is available. Funds provided under one federal program may not be used by a recipient to meet the non-federal match or cost-share requirements of another federal program.

Household eligible for MI-HOPE can receive assistance for the following items:  roof, storm doors/exterior windows, windows, insulation, furnaces/ventilations systems, water heater upgrades, exterior security lighting, appliance upgrades (i.e., stove, fridge), and electrical upgrades or replacements (wiring).  For a complete list and eligibility information, please refer to the documents linked below…
