Beginning at 6:00 am on Monday July 26, 2021 the City of Three Rivers in coordination with MDOT will be completely closing the downtown intersection of Michigan Ave and Main St. This will allow crews to complete the repair of four utility structures in the intersection.
The closure is scheduled to end late Wednesday July 28, 2021.

During the closure, local traffic will be able to utilize Joshua Drive and Railroad Drive for access to the downtown businesses. North Main (between Michigan Ave and Portage Ave) will be completely closed to traffic. S Main businesses will be accessible, but traffic will have to turn around before reaching the Michigan/Main intersection.
Closure notes:
- M-60 W Michigan (eastbound) final closure at Railroad Drive (initial closure is at US 131)
- M-60 E Michigan (westbound) final closure at Joshua Drive (initial closure is at Hoffman St)
- M-86 S Main (northbound) final closure at 4th St (initial closure is at Broadway St)
- BR 131 N Main (southbound) final closure at Portage Ave (initial closure is at Hoffman St)
All other traffic will be utilizing Hoffman St, Broadway St, and US 131 for travel around the City during the detour.
