In response to the July 11, 2011 storm, the City of Three Rivers Department of Public Services crews will address debris clean-up in the following order:
1. Removal of trees crossing roadways
2. Removal of large debris and trees along the roadways and in terrace areas
3. Removal of residential brush placed in terrace areas
The crews will be focusing on items 1 and 2 this week and will begin item 3 on Monday, July 18, 2011. Please have your brush placed on the terrace next to the curb by Monday. This is for storm damage only and is not intended to serve as a pick-up for trimmed trees or shrub removal.
At no time should any brush be placed in the roadway. Brush placed in the roadway will be subject to a fine.
The Department of Public Services offers a compost drop off area located at 1015 South Lincoln Avenue that currently is open 24 hours, 7 days per week to aid in the storm clean-up process. The compost drop off will accept brush, leaves, grass clippings and garden waste. If you have any questions, please call the Department of Public Services at 273-1845.
In addition to damage throughout the City, the trees in Riverside Cemetery were also damaged in the storm. Due to the danger of hanging limbs, the cemetery will be closed until further notice. If you have any questions regarding the cemetery, please call the Department of Public Services at 273-1845.
