Rescue the Zoo

0

Scidmore Park has housed animals since 1922, and the Zoo itself serves 3,500 visitors per year. Due to hard economic times the Zoo, like all City services is making drastic cuts. With no outside funding, the current budget proposal will remove the indoor animals and close the Petting Zoo by July 1st, 2011. We recognize that other City sanctions (such as police and fire services) need City funds; therefore, WE NEED CONTRIBUTIONS FROM PRIVATE SOURCES TO RESCUE THE ZOO AT SCIDMORE PARK, which has become an important part of our community.
