The warning sirens in the City of Three Rivers will be tested throughout the day this Thursday, April 22. The programming is scheduled to begin at 9:00am. It is unknown how long the process will take.
A recent upgrade of the radio system at St Joseph County Central Dispatch has made it necessary for the city to re-program the siren activation system. A test activation of each siren (4) will be conducted after the re-programming. Since there is more than one activation point, multiple tests may be necessary to assure that the system is functioning properly.
Re-programming and testing will be cancelled should a short-term forecast indicate the potential for severe weather. Questions regarding the warning siren testing should be directed to the Three Rivers Fire Department at 278.3755.
