NOTICE OF PROJECT PLANNING PUBLIC MEETING:
The City of Three Rivers will hold a public meeting on the proposed Lead Service Line Replacement project for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Three Rivers City Hall located at 333 W. Michigan Avenue, Three Rivers, MI (49093).
The purpose of the proposed project is improvements to the City’s water system.
Project construction will involve replacement of up to 616 lead service lines in the City.
Impacts of the proposed project include minor traffic operation, increased local noise, and dusts levels typical of a construction project. There are no anticipated long-term impacts from this project.
The estimated cost to users for the proposed project will be dependent on the terms of the financing proposed by EGLE for this project. The estimated project costs are totaled to be approximately $13.531 million.
Copies of the plan detailing the proposed project (see link below) are available for inspection at Three Rivers City Hall located at 333 W. Michigan Ave, Three Rivers, MI (49093). City Hall Hours are: Mon, Wed-Fri: 8AM – 4:30 PM, and Tues: 11AM – 4:30 PM.
Written comments received before the meeting record is closed on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 6 p.m. will receive responses in the final project planning document. Written comments should be sent to: Joseph Bippus, City Manager, 333 W Michigan Ave, Three Rivers, MI 49093.
