City of Three Rivers – Auxiliary Police Officer (Part Time):
The City of Three Rivers Police Department is seeking qualified individuals for part-time Auxiliary Police Officers. An Auxiliary Police Officer participates in police-related, non-certified functions; assists in community-related programs; assists the regular certified police officers during special events and emergencies; and assists with traffic and crowd control at school functions.
Work may involve an element of personal danger, and employees in this job classification must be able to act legally and effectively with or without supervision and exercise sound judgment in meeting emergencies.
Minimum requirements: High school graduate or GED, MI Driver’s License, and possess the knowledge and ability to perform the job functions required for the position. Must pass the Three Rivers Police Department Auxiliary Training and Evaluation Program within one year of employment.
This is a part-time, non-union, at-will position with a pay rate of $9.25 per hour increasing to $10.00 per hour after training period is completed. Work hours: vary but no more than 10 hours per week. Some nights and weekends required.
