The City has a Self-Service Station in the lobby for license plate renewals. The machine takes Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
The ATM-style machine gives customers the option of renewing their vehicle tabs without waiting for service at the counter. Customers simply follow the touch-screen directions and scan the bar code on the renewal notice. Upon verifying the information and accepting the credit card, the Self-Service Station prints a vehicle tab and receipt.
To use the Self-Service Station, customers must have a renewal notice with correct information and PIN; and a valid Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit card or a debit card branded by Visa or MasterCard. The system is not for gross weight vehicle tabs.
