The City of Three Rivers is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time, non-union Clerk  position, assisting the City Clerk and City Manager.  The incumbent assists the City Clerk in carrying out all functions of that office, including the preparation of agendas and minutes, maintenance of official City records, preparation for and conduct of City elections.  The incumbent is also responsible for implementing the City’s records management program and other office related duties and special projects as assigned by the City Manager.  Duties require high attention to detail and confidentiality.

Within six (6) months, incumbents are expected to work with minimal supervision, able to prioritize and successfully complete multiple work assignments; initiate, plan, organize and carry through projects; work quickly and accurately ability to interpret and explain City policies and procedures; and provide excellent customer service to the general public in a professional courteous manner even in stressful situations.

Minimum requirements:  High School graduate or GED; minimum of 1-year related work experience; strong customer relations, organizational and computer skills, ability to maintain high level of accuracy and confidentiality in preparing and entering data, problem solving and decision making skills; valid Michigan driver’s license; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the essential knowledge, skills and abilities.  Starting pay rate: $11.40/hour; after completion of 1 year of service rate will be $14.25.  Work hours: up to 25 hours per week.
