The one lane closure on W Michigan avenue is due to a water main break. The lane closure will remain until the week of April 2nd when Northern Construction Services will make it a two lane closure in order to make the repair. It will remain a two lane closure for an unknown number of days until the street surface is re-installed.
Beginning April 3rd, River Road will be closed to through traffic for a 6-7 week period to allow the remainder of the water main under that street to be replaced. The detour will be from 9th Street to Holtom. Travelers west-bound on River Road are advised to go south to M-86 or north to M-60 to get into town.
Also beginning Thursday, Hoffman Street will be closed down at West Street as the beginning of West Street water main replacement project. The detour route for this closure is, if east bound, turn north on Maple Street to Armstrong Boulevard to N Main street and then back to Hoffman.
