2012 Brush and Leaf Pickup

City residents may place brush in the terrace area beginning Monday, October 1st. On Monday, October 8, 2012 Department of Public Service (DPS) crews will begin picking up brush. We will pick up brush in third district on Monday, October 8, followed by first district on Tuesday, October 9, fourth district on Wednesday, October 10, and second district on Thursday, October 11. We will only pick up brush once, so all brush needs to be in the street by 7:00 am on your day of pick up. This is for brush ONLY. Brush mixed with leaves will NOT be picked up.

The City of Three Rivers DPS crews will begin the fall 2012 leaf pickup on Monday, October 15th. Please do not rake any leaves into the streets until Saturday, October 13th. Leaves placed in the street prior to the 13th will be subject to a fine. It should be noted that any brush, sod, bricks, rocks, trash or other foreign materials will damage machinery, hamper our ability to perform our pickup, and lead to a visit from the Code Enforcement Officer with a possible citation. All City residents may place leaves in the street along the curb or roadway edges on City streets for pickup starting October 15th, please do not place leaves in the terrace area. As with the brush pick up, we will be starting in third district and following with first, fourth, and second. Third district leaves must be in the curb by 7:00 am Monday, October 15th to ensure they are picked up in the first round. First district leaves must be in the curb by Monday, October 22nd, fourth district leaves by Monday, October 29th, and second district leaves by Monday, November 5th.

A second round of leaf pick-up will begin on Monday November 19th in Third district. Followed by Monday, November 26th in First district; Monday, December 3rd in Fourth district; and Monday, December 10th in second district.

The Department of Public Services offers a compost drop off area located at 1015 South Lincoln Avenue. We accept brush, leaves, grass clippings and garden waste at the compost area. If you have any questions, please call the Department of Public Services at 273-1845
