The Moluccan Cockatoo, also known as the Salmon-crested Cockatoo is from the lowland forests of Moluccas and Indonesia, and is an endangered species in the wild. The Moluccan Cockatoo is considered to be one of the most demanding pets, due to high intelligence, large size, potential noise level, and destructive “chewing”. They are highly social and require several hours of interaction daily in order to maintain good health. Oscar is our resident “ham” who loves to entertain and get attention, much like a small child.
