FROZEN WATER NOTICE –
The City of Three Rivers Department of Public Services is asking residents to be conscious of freezing water lines, especially within your home.
Residents should watch for symptoms of frozen or freezing water service lines. Symptoms include:
• A slight decrease in water pressure
• Water becoming rusty or cloudy
• Extremely cold water (less than 35 degrees)
Risk factors for frozen water lines include homes with unheated crawl spaces, basements with partially open windows or areas that will allow a cold draft, and water lines that are along the outside wall of a home.
If you suspect frozen water lines, please contact the Department of Public Services at 273-1845 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. or 467-4195 after business hours.
