You are hereby notified that the last day to register to vote or change your address for the May 3, 2016 Election will be Monday, April 4, 2016.
Electors who wish to vote in the election must be registered no later than April 4, 2016. To register, visit any Secretary of State Branch office, the County Clerk’s office, Three Rivers City Hall M-F 8-4:30, or your local clerk’s office. Voter registration forms may also be obtained at specified agencies for clients receiving services through the Department of Human Services, the Department of Community Health, the Michigan Jobs Commission, some offices of the Commission for the Blind, or at military recruitment offices for person enlisting in the armed forces.
The purpose of the election is to vote on the following proposal as presented and listed below:
COUNTY PROPOSAL
PRIMARY/MAJOR/LOCAL ROADS AND BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TO INCREASE BY UP TO 2.5 MILLS ($2. PER $1,000 OF TAXABLE VALUATION) FOR A PERIOD OF TEN (10) YEARS FOR ROAD PURPOSES WITHIN THE INCORPORATED CITIES AND VILLAGES IN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MICHIGAN FOR CONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT, REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF PRIMARY ROADS, MAJOR STREETS, LOCAL ROADS, AND BRIDGES UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE ST. JOSEPH COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION, WITH THE MONEY TO BE COLLECTED AND DISTRIBUTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE STATUES.
